Running a Report Immediately

To run a report immediately:

1. Select a report in the ILux client main window. Click Run.
2. The Run Report dialog appears. Select the output options you want.
3. To override the existing filter, select another filter from the filter drop-down list box, or create a new, temporary filter by clicking Temporary Filter. The Create Filter dialog box appears.
4. Enter the Output Directory path to which you want the reports written. The default is a location relative to the root directory on the web server. (Use the View, Web Server Parameters command to view the default location.) For more information, see Modifying the Report Output Directory.
5. Select another stylesheet from the stylesheet drop-down list box if desired.
6. Optionally, select the language you want used to produce the report.
7. Enter the email address of the report recipient. The email addresses must meet SMTP standards, that is, contain no spaces or illegal characters. Each email address must be separated by a comma.
8. Click Run Report. The Running Report dialog box displays an estimate of the time running the report will require. This can vary depending on the complexity of the report and the load on the server.

The report is generated and written to the WWW root location on a web server (specified when you installed ILux). The report is also displayed in your web browser.
