Suspending or Removing a
Monitored Web Server

You can suspend site monitoring or delete the data for a web site that ILux is monitoring. The standard ILux license allows you to monitor up to three web servers (and an unlimited number of virtual domains on each).

Alternatively, you can upgrade ILux web site your ILux license and add to the number of servers ILux monitors.

To suspend site monitoring or remove a monitored web site:

  1. Click View, Web Site Parameters.
  2. The first time during an ILux client session you select this command (or other related commands), the Server Password dialog box appears. You must enter a user name and password. Enter the Domain Source Name (DSN) user name and password used when the source name was created. Click OK.
  3. The Web Site Parameters dialog box appears.
  4. In the Select Site list at the top of the dialog, select the domain name you want to remove.
  5. Click Delete. You are asked to verify that you do in fact want to remove the domain information from the database or if you wish to merely suspend monitoring the web site.

Caution Deleting the web site is permanent. All data for the web site is physically deleted from the database. If you ever wish to monitor the web site again, you must add the web site to ILux and reimport the web site logs.

Special note: Deleting web site data from the database can take a considerable amount of time, depending on the length of time you have monitored the web site. It is recommended that you allow the delete process to run overnight. Proceed with caution.

  1. Click Suspend or Delete, as desired.
