Defining a Filter for Directories or Files
ILux makes it easy for you to monitor specific files or directories on your web server.
- Choose File, New, Filter. The Filters, Date tab sheet appears.
- Click on the Sites tab. The Filters, Sites tab sheet appears.
- If more than one site is being monitored by ILux, select the web server you want to report on.
|
 | If you want to monitor files found only in the web server's root directory, leave both the In Directory and Matching Pattern fields blank. Note that if you leave the In Directory field blank but enter a value (e.g., ".HTML") in the Matching Pattern field, ILux finds all files in all directories (matching the criteria you entered).
|
|
- Optionally, enter the directory or subdirectory, for example,
support.
- Optionally, in the Matching Pattern field, enter a wildcard for the files in that directory, for example,
*.htm*. (See wildcards for more information.)
- Click List to view files found in that directory that also match the value found in the Matching Pattern field.
-
To specify accesses to the directory root where the URL did not include a filename, select
.[Directory], This would find, for example, all hits on http://www. domain.com/
- In the List window, select the entries matching those you want to add as a filter.
- Click Add. Repeat as needed.
